What I Ate Wednesday 5/6/15

Hey y’all friends….

I hope your Wednesday is treating you right.  I’ve been cleaning out my closet (ahh!) to get ready to move to an apartment!  The move in date is next weekend, so it’s time to get a move on….

When I woke up, I drank hot tea because I was out of lemons.

In the mornings, I also try to get a handle on the day and what needs to be accomplished…Planning really helps me stay grounded in this crazy life we have.

When taking the boys to school, I ate a big bowl of watermelon.

My van is always an assortment of kid things and random things….here I see a kitchen towel, sidewalk chalk, a Lion King Credit Card, name badge labels, and a pen.  I don’t even know why any of that is there!!

After we dropped Sawyer off, Beckham and I had some time, so we grabbed some groceries at Whole Foods…I usually get a smoothie to drink when I walk around to shop, but it seems as though it was high jacked…

I do feel like I WON though because there was KALE in it 🙂  This had almond butter, bananas, kale, blueberries, and almond milk.

He really did take this smoothie over…and even made it convenient for drinking as he pushed the cart. Cutie patootie 🙂

I did manage to get about half of it 🙂

I had really hoped that I’d have something other than a salad with Lemon Tahini Dressing to show you for lunch, but seriously, if something is working, just go with it, right?  I really, really love this combo, and it makes me excited to eat a salad.  So in my book, that’s a win!

lunch

After McCall got home from school, we walked to the neighbor’s house for a bit…She’s having a baby today, so we needed one last day in before her life got crazy!  While we talked, I enjoyed a banana and an orange.

snack

We have had a fun few days around here incorporating CORN in Sawyer’s diet…this is probably my favorite picture so far when we popped popcorn….of course I stole a little…

We planned a Mexican night for Cinco de Mayo…and tried to make everyone something like a taco.  McCall had a rice tortilla, goat cheese, and ground turkey meat.  Sawyer had a corn tortilla with guacamole, corn kernels, and sliced avocado.  Beckham ate with me.  Mine was corn tortillas, guacamole, black beans, pinto beans, spinach, corn, mango salsa, walnut taco meat, and cashew sour cream.  Andrew added chicken 🙂

dinner

We paired it with vegan cheese dip and Late July Corn Chips.

Look at Sawyer’s little taco.  Isn’t it the cutest?

After dinner, I went for a walk by myself (wooooooo), and took our Redbox back.

We ended the night relaxing, folding laundry, and drinking hot tea.

I hope you have a beautiful rest of your day 🙂
